precious nature, hidden treasures

If you search the ground where I’m from, you won't find ‘precious’ stones.

No diamonds, no rubis, no sapphires.

Yet, many of us would say about the island that it is full of treasures.

Of those that don’t reveal themselves immediately, hidden elsewhere from where we usually think.

Of those that require from us that we look at things in a different way, embedded in the everyday, in what we might sometimes overlook as ordinary.

The hot sand burning your feet making you rush into the sea; losing all sense of time staring at the horizon, hypnotized; your body itching all over because you lied down in the tall grass to admire the sky; the earthy smell filling your lungs as you step foot into the forest…

We wouldn’t imagine a life without nature.

BIOJOAILLERIE was birthed as a need to cherish these treasures from another kind.

The ones gathered from our long walks.

The ones reminding us of the relief and comfort we experience when we immerse ourselves in natural environments.

Collected treasures casted in silver and bronze / Exploratory research from 2019

The ones inviting us to pause and surrender.

In the end, what if our ability to cherish our surroundings was the real treasure?
